Everybody is warmly welcome.
Dilia Navarro is a lay Diamond Way Buddhist teacher from Caracas, Venezuela, where she worked as an electronics engineer. She first came into contact with Buddhism in 1993 and met Lama Ole Nydahl, and his wife Hannah, in 1994. In 1997, along with her brother and sister-in- law, she took responsibility of the Diamond Way Center in Caracas, and since then she has organized courses and helped form all the centers and meditation groups in Venezuela. Since year 1998 she started translating for Lama Ole during his courses in Venezuela, and she also started to help with the translations of the meditation booklets.
In 2003, Lama Ole asked Navarro to travel and give teachings, and she has been travelling and teaching throughout North, Central and South America and Europe since. At The End of 2016 she moved to Kiel, Germany where she currently resides.
Common Meditation in Reykjavík Buddhist Center
You can join us every Wednesday for the 16th Karmapa Meditation – a very condensed and effective practice, leading to a fresh, wider and less personal view of the world. It was given by 16th Karmapa, Ranjung Rigpe Dorje in the late sixties to Ole and Hannah Nydahl, with a wish to bring it to the Western people.
All newcomers are especially invited to attend the introductory lecture on Diamond Way Buddhism (in English), which takes place before the meditation. No previous experience or preparation is required and participation is free of charge. If you wish to come, you have to first contact us to announce your arrival and for further information.
There is a possibility of buying Buddhist books.
Our Center is located on Suðurlandsbraut 16 (on the left side of Islandsbanki), 3rd floor on the left.
