Buddhist Center Reykjavík

Our Buddhist group is part of an international network of more than 600 lay Diamond Way Buddhist centers of the Karma Kagyu school founded and directed by Lama Ole Nydahl. They are under the spiritual guidance of H.H. the 17th Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje.

Buddhist center is located on Suðurlandsbraut 16, 108 Reykjavík.
We started in November 2010 as a small buddhist group of 3 people, meeting in private apartment and nowadays we have grown to a Buddhist center.

We have regular meditations at our center every Wednesday at 20:00. We organise public lectures and meditation courses with buddhist teachers from around the world during the whole year as well. All the necessary information about regular meditations and courses can be found in the “Events” section at our website.

Our Buddhist Center is a place where people can learn to meditate and receive authentic Buddhist teachings in a friendly, modern context.
